JEWELLERY CARE
Like most things, if you take care of your jewellery well, it should remain in good condition for years to come. Here are some easy-care instructions to follow, so you can keep your Permanent Jewellery looking fresh.
- If bathing in chlorinated or salty water, rinse and lather gently with soapy water, then rinse with clean water to remove chemical or salt residue.
- If your chain gets dirty or grime stuck in it, you can also use a soft toothbrush with warm soapy water to gently brush into the chain detail to remove dirt, then rinse with clean water.
- Avoid spraying perfume onto or near your jewellery. Use warm soapy water to remove from chain if you do.
- Avoid getting sunscreen or makeup on your jewellery. Use warm soapy water to remove from chain if you do.
- Please take care when removing clothing, gloves, socks etc, so as to not get your chain caught and stretched or broken by accident.
- To keep your jewellery looking shiny and new, you can polish it gently with a small jewellery polishing cloth, available to purchase from Naomi.
For removal of your chain, please contact Naomi for assistance. If you are unable to see Naomi for removal, you can carefully snip the jump-ring (chain connection point) with a pair of scissors.
Please keep your chain safe in a zip lock bag until you are able to have it re-connected or a clasp added.
Naomi offers a re-connecting or clasp addition appointment for a small fee. Please get in touch if you need help with this.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is Permanent Jewellery?
Permanent Jewellery involves the welding of a chain, such as a bracelet, anklet or necklace around part of your body, without a clasp, creating a continuous chain that is permanently kept on the body.
How do you weld the chain together?
The process is quite fast, as specialised micro welding equipment is used to quickly and safely heat the jump-ring closed, connecting the chain seamlessly to you. There is a single quick spark and the weld is complete.
Will I feel it?
No, you won’t feel a thing. The welding process is very quick, and at a micro level, as it is only connecting a jump-ring to the chain using a micro weld machine. A protective piece of leather will be placed between your skin and the chain being welded, for added protection from the small spark which occurs when creating the weld. It is important to keep still during the process, so that it is a successful, quick and safe process.
Do I need to pay anything to book an appointment?
Yes, there is a non-refundable deposit of $25 per appointment. This will be deducted from the total cost of the service at your appointment. Please read the above Terms and Conditions for more information.
How do I make a booking for more than one person?
Easy. Please create a booking for each person who is wanting to use the Permanent Jewellery Service using the booking link here. A 20 minute time slot will be allocated per person to allow time for selecting the chain design, having it fitted and attached.
Do you accept walk-ins?
Yes, if time allows and I am working from my studio, I may accept walk-ins for the Permanent Jewellery Service. However, to avoid disappointment, please book an appointment using the booking link here.
How old do I have to be to use the Permanent Jewellery Service?
The minimum age requirement is 12 years old. Anyone under the age of 16 will require a parent or guardian to attend the appointment with them.
What if I change my mind at the appointment?
If you decide at the appointment that you don’t wish to go ahead with the service, the $25 booking fee will be forfeited. If you are unsure or have further questions about the service, please contact Naomi to arrange a time to visit the studio, view the designs available and discuss any concerns you may have prior to booking an appointment.
What designs do you have available?
Naomi has sourced a variety of chain designs that are popular for Permanent Jewellery applications. Chain design availability may vary from time to time. If you are after a particular chain design, please get in touch with Naomi prior to booking an appointment to ensure your desired design will be available or visit the studio to check out the designs before making an appointment.
What metal is the chain?
Naomi uses sterling silver and 14ct gold-filled chain designs for the Permanent Jewellery Service. Solid gold chains are available on request and will require an additional deposit dependent on the design and size required. Please contact Naomi to discuss this if it is an option you would like to consider.
Can I have a charm added to my chain?
Yes, of course! Naomi has a small selection of handmade and mass-produced charms and connectors to choose from, which can be added to your chain at your appointment. If you are wanting a particular charm, please discuss this with Naomi prior to booking an appointment so it can be sourced or custom made for you.
